Our Downtown progressive law firm client is seeking a Legal Administrative Assistant to work in their  Litigation group.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of court documents
  • Formatting and drafting correspondence
  • Booking trials, Examinations for Discovery, applications etc
  • Interact with clients by phone and in person
  • Management of billings
  • Maintain filing system including a bring forward system
  • Sort incoming mail and prepare outgoing mail
  • Perform other related duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • 3 – 5 years litigation experience and a graduate of a Legal Admin Assistant program
  • Must be proficient with litigation procedures and the new Rules of Court
  • Strong organization skills
  • Strong time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Advanced Microsoft Word skills
  • Working knowledge of Excel
  • Experience with Summation/Worldox an asset
