Human Resources Generalist - Downtown Law Firm

We are assisting our law firm client located in Downtown, Vancouver in recruiting a full-time permanent Human Resources Generalist.  This position offers an excellent work environment and the chance to further develop your skills and experience with a highly regarded firm.

The Human Resources Generalist would work alongside the HR Manager in addition to working alongside an HR Assistant who is currently on the team. The expectation is that as the HR Generalist, you would be able to handle a lot of the day-to-day functions of the HR role such as staff recruiting, float scheduling and staffing issues.  You would be expected to work independently, with fairly limited involvment from the HR Manager except in unusual circumstances where advice/involvment is needed.

  • Qualifications:
  • University or equivalent degree in Human Resources Management.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience working in a Human Resources role.
  • CHRP designation is considered an asset.
  • Superior leadership skills; ability to influence and engage indirect reports and peers.
  • Energetic, flexible, collaborative and proactive.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills and ability to communicate effectively with all levels in the firm.
