Description:

Our client is a boutique family and estate law firm in downtown Vancouver that prides itself on its work culture of mentorship and collegiality.  Our client offers competitive salaries and a full extended health and benefits package. It is looking to hire a full-time Legal Administrative Assistant in its Corporate/Commercial and Estates practice area.

Responsibilities:

·        - Create and maintain corporate records with supervision;

·        - Draft incorporation documents, including adding special rights and restrictions to articles, as well as drafting all relevant resolutions based on precedents, with supervision;

·        - Assist with capital alteration and reorganizations of corporations;

·        - Prepare corporate organization charts;

·        - Assist with drafting wills, trusts, powers of attorney, etc.;

·        - Prepare probate applications;

·        - Assist and facilitate with estate administration;

·        - Assist with drafting various agreements, including commercial and licensing agreements;

·        - Assist with residential and commercial conveyances;

·        - Excellent file management and organization;

·        - Excellent language skills; and

·        - MS Word skills should include custom multi-level numbering, use of styles, cross-references.

Qualifications:

Candidates must have completed high school and have either a certificate or diploma in legal administration, and have worked as a Legal Administrative Assistant for 3-4 years.  Strong work ethic, a willingness to learn, and interpersonal skills are essential.  Must be organized and a self-starter.
