We are currently assisting a medium size law firm in RICHMOND to recruit a Business Law Legal Administrative Assistant.  Located close to the Lansdowne Centre in Richmond this firm has 20 lawyers and a great team of support staff.  A well established firm with a 25 year history in the industry.  The firms primary practice areas are real estate and development, insurance, personal services and business law. The firm has a friendly and supportive culture and values your skills and experience.

Typical Duties and Responsibilities Include:

  • document production, including producing correspondence and legal documents from dictation, handwritten and precedent documents, and preliminary drafting of legal documents
  • file maintenance and organization
  • opening and closing of files
  • keeping track of client lists
  • maintaining BFs and tasks
  • processing incoming/outgoing mail
  • reviewing and filing e-correspondence
  • returning client calls and general inquiries
  • time entry and bill preparation

Qualifications

  • graduate of a Legal Admin Assistant program from a  recognised Institution with a minimum of 5 years of experience in Business Law
  • excellent communication, problem solving and organizational skills
  • excellent written and oral communication skills
  • ability to handle multiple priorities in a calm and professional manner
  • high level of proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)
  • superior Customer Service Skills
  • ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • possess sound judgement and the ability to handle sensitive/confidential information
